What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help sites remember preferences, keep sessions secure, and—if you agree—understand how pages are used. This personal blog uses a limited set of cookies and similar storage technologies. I do not use cookies to sell advertising profiles because the site carries no ad networks.

Similar technologies include local storage entries that remember banner choices without expiring as quickly as session cookies. The distinction matters less in practice than the outcome: essential storage keeps the site usable; optional storage helps me see aggregate patterns if you opt in.

Essential cookies

Essential cookies are necessary for basic operation. On Voice Craft Pro, essential storage includes your cookie consent choice recorded in local storage or a cookie so the banner does not reappear on every visit. Without this, you would see the consent dialog each time you load a page. These essentials do not track you across unrelated websites.

Session integrity features from the hosting environment may also set short-lived cookies to balance traffic or prevent abuse. Those cookies support delivery of pages you request rather than marketing.

Analytics cookies (optional)

If you click "Accept all" or enable analytics in "Customise", optional analytics cookies may collect aggregated information such as pages viewed, approximate region, device type, and referral source. I use this only to understand whether readers find the journal or legal pages, not to identify individuals by name. You may reject analytics and still read the entire site. Rejecting analytics does not block contact forms or maps.

Analytics cookies, when enabled, may persist for periods defined by the analytics provider—often up to several months—unless you clear them sooner. I review configuration periodically to disable features that exceed what a personal blog reasonably needs.

Google Maps disclosure

Contact and location sections embed Google Maps in an iframe. When you load a page with the map, Google may set cookies or use similar technologies according to its own policies, including identifiers used to remember map preferences, measure usage, or deliver related services. I do not control Google's processing. The embed URL requests a map centred near Kallang Pudding Road for address context only. If you prefer not to interact with Google Maps, avoid scrolling to the map section or block third-party cookies in your browser settings, understanding the map may not display correctly.

Google's privacy policy and cookie documentation apply to data collected through the embed. I recommend reviewing them if you are sensitive to third-party tracking. The site remains readable without loading the map iframe if your browser or extension prevents it.

Typical Google identifiers may include preferences for map zoom, language, and session continuity across Google services if you are signed into a Google account in the same browser. Managing preferences
